Wouldn't it be wonderful to
optimize your horse's performance
and your riding experience?

We all know about the connection shared between horse and rider. Wouldn't it be wonderful to optimize your horse's performance and your riding experience? Whether it's for pleasure or competition, the quality of your experience depends on how you both feel. Being the intuitive animals that they are, horses respond to any discomfort you might have. Your horses behavior communicates its physical condition to you. Your horse communicates what's transpiring in their body by their behavior.

Most horses, like humans, enjoy massage when it is done with skilled hands and a good understanding of anatomy. More than 60% of the horse's body weight is muscle. Small muscle injuries can take up to 90 days to become apparent (by changes in attitude, performance and/or lameness). By this time a more serious injury may have occurred.

Muscle tightening is transmitted from one muscle group to another. For example, shoulder tension might appear as hind end lameness. Muscles may also enlarge with tension. Prompt attention to these injuries not only enhances a horse's performance, but also may prevent future problems.
